by Steven Wilson
It is a pleasure to have Steven on board for the Editions series. We have worked with him on many occasions, most recently for his ‘Article’ show.
His Mixed Alphabet print is one of our favourites here at The Private Press.
This print features a striking combination of magenta and blue ink.
Like us, Steven lives and works in Brighton and can often be found foraging through the local flea markets for obscure books and discarded paraphernalia to use as inspiration for his varied and experimental work, which he describes as ‘somewhere between pop and psychedelia'.
This print is exclusive to The Private Press 'Editions' series.
Steven Wilson: "The design is based on the verb 'about face' which is most commonly used to instruct a soldier to make a 180 degree turn, but I have applied it to a type 'face' as a clever visual interpretation of the phrase."
